Andrew Silverman has a diverse work experience in the clinical research industry. Andrew currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Catawba Research, where they effectively manage day-to-day operations, provides strategic direction, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Prior to this, Andrew held the position of Executive Vice President, Global Operations at Syneos Health (previously INC Research) from 2016 to 2022. In this role, they provided strategic leadership, managed business operations, and implemented process and technology improvements.

Before joining Syneos Health, Andrew worked at INC Research from 2001 to 2016, holding various senior leadership positions. Andrew was the Sr. Vice President, Clinical Development, CNS Division, overseeing CNS projects and managing a team of over 1100 employees. Andrew was also responsible for global supervision of neurology clinical trials as the Vice President, Executive Director, Senior Director, Neurology.

Prior to that, Andrew served as the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Tanistry, Inc., a niche Clinical Research Organization (CRO) focused on CNS clinical trials. Andrew played a key role in growing the organization by 300% within one year.

Andrew began their career at PPD and Pharmaco as an Associate Director in the CNS and Data Management departments, respectively.

Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Clinical Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin, where they studied from 1989 to 2001.
