Director Of Wellness Services at Catawba Valley Health System

Marcus Osborne has extensive work experience in the healthcare and fitness industry. Marcus started their career in 2002 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Appalachian State University. Later, they worked as the Head Athletic Trainer at Newton-Conover High School before transitioning to Catawba Valley Medical Center. At Catawba Valley Medical Center, Marcus served as the Director of Fitness, Sports Medicine, Community Health Education, Lifeline, and Employee Wellness. Marcus was also the Interim Environment of Care Coordinator during the COVID-19 pandemic. In their current role, Marcus is the Director of Wellness Services at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

Marcus Osborne earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Appalachian State University, where they studied from 1997 to 2002. Marcus then pursued a Master of Health Administration degree at Pfeiffer University from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) in 2002 and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), although the year of attainment is not specified for the latter.
