Brent Kievit-Kylar has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2023, they worked as a Director of API and Data Engineering at both Fidelity Investments and Catchlight. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Benchling from 2022 to 2023. From 2019 to 2022, Brent held positions at Arbor Biotechnologies, where they served as an Associate Director of Software Engineering and then as a Senior Staff Software Engineer. Before that, Brent worked at Google from 2015 to 2019, where they held the position of Senior Software Engineer, contributing to projects such as Crashlytics and Image Search. Brent was also a CoFounder of Equibit Group, a startup company in the OTC securities platform space. Brent began their career as a Post Doctoral Student at Indiana University Bloomington and briefly worked as a Predictive Modeling Specialist at Dealer.com in 2007.
Brent Kievit-Kylar completed their Bachelor of Computing in Cognitive Science at Queen's University from 2006 to 2009. Brent then pursued further studies and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cognitive Science from Indiana University Bloomington between 2010 and 2015.
