Pei Cao is a seasoned data science professional currently serving as Principal Data Scientist at Catchlight and Director of Data Science at Fidelity Investments, both since April 2024. Prior to these roles, Pei held positions as Senior Data Scientist and Maritime Data Scientist at CargoMetrics Technologies Inc. from November 2018 to April 2024, and was a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Connecticut from September 2012 to November 2018, focusing on optimization and deep learning as well as mechanical vibration. Earlier experience includes a Research Assistant role at Northwestern Polytechnical University, a Mechanical Engineer internship at Magna International, a Front-End Developer internship at Tsinghua University, and a Software Engineer internship at Qinma Software.
