Tony Ezzat

Tony Ezzat has a diverse work experience in various roles related to data science and analytics. Tony is currently serving as the VP of Data Science and Co-Founder at Catchlight and the VP of Data Science, Fidelity Labs at Fidelity Investments. In their previous roles, they served on the Advisory Board of Newmetrix and Hi Marley Inc.

Prior to that, Tony Ezzat worked at ezCater as the Director Of Data Science & Analytics, where they recruited and managed a team of 12 members. Tony presented key performance indicators in weekly executive meetings, developed machine learning models for predicting customer lifetime value, and created algorithms for ranking caterers and generating orders.

Before ezCater, Tony Ezzat held the position of VP Optimization at Nanigans, where they recruited and led a team of software and data science professionals. Tony deployed machine learning-based platforms for customer lifetime value-based bidding on Facebook.

Tony Ezzat also has experience working at KAYAK, where they served as the Director of Analytics and Analytics Manager. Tony recruited and led a team of 7 analytics and data science professionals and worked on projects related to hotel and flight data analysis, search engine marketing, and A/B experimentation.

Prior to that, they worked at MERL as a Principal Research Scientist, focusing on speech and voice recognition technology for car navigation systems. Tony also worked as a Consultant for Lockheed Martin, where they developed visual object recognition technology for LIDAR imagery.

Tony Ezzat began their career at MIT, where they served as a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Associate at CSAIL (Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory).

Throughout their career, Tony Ezzat has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in data science, analytics, and machine learning.

Tony Ezzat's education history begins in 1977 when they attended the Universal American School Kuwait until 1989, but they did not acquire a degree during this period. After completing their schooling, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Tony Ezzat continued their education at MIT from 1994 to 1996, obtaining a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science. Their educational journey at MIT culminated in a PhD in Computer Science, which they acquired from 1996 to 2002.
