Anthony D. Fassino

Group President, Construction Industries at Caterpillar

Anthony (Tony) Fassino is a group president of Caterpillar Inc. He is responsible for Caterpillar's Construction Industries group, which includes the Earthmoving, Excavation, Building Construction Products, China Operations, Global Construction & Infrastructure, Strategic Procurement, and Construction Industries Services divisions, as well as the Global Rental and Used Equipment Services group.

Fassino joined Caterpillar in 1996. Prior to his appointment as group president in 2021, Fassino spent three years as vice president of Caterpillar’s Building Construction Products Division, with responsibility for Caterpillar’s line of small, versatile construction machines and work tools. Prior to that, he held a variety of other leadership roles in engineering, sales, product development and operations across Caterpillar’s global portfolio, including positions in Canada, Japan and the U.S.

Fassino has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Bradley University. He has also completed Caterpillar’s executive leadership program in partnership with Duke University. Fassino currently serves as a Caterpillar representative on the Future Farmers of America (FFA) Sponsors Board and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers Construction Equipment Sector Board.
