Jamie Engstrom

VP, Global Information Services Division & Chief Information Officer at Caterpillar

Jamie L. Engstrom is a Caterpillar Inc. vice president with responsibility for the Global Information Services (GIS) Division and Chief Information Officer. In this position, she leads a team responsible for Caterpillar’s global information technology (IT) systems, cybersecurity and IT transformation.

Prior to being named vice president of GIS, Engstrom was chief information officer for our Financial Products Division in Nashville, TN.

Engstrom joined Caterpillar in May 1999 and has held positions across procurement and IT. Her extensive background in IT, includes global leadership accountabilities in large-scale systems transformations, global data center management, worldwide network, servers and storage, database management, help desk operations and desktop management.

Engstrom earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Illinois State University and an MBA from Bradley University in 2002. In 2018, she completed the Women’s Executive Leadership Program, Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She was also awarded the 2018 Ones To Watch Award from the CIO Executive Council. Jamie most recently served on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee, Easter Seals in central Illinois and the Illinois Cancer Care Advisory Board.
