Jinghong Yu

James is a Vice President for the Cathay Smart Energy Fund, based in Shanghai.

Prior to joining Cathay in 2020, James worked as an Associate at Macquarie Capital’s principal investment team in Shanghai for 3 years, focused on equity investments in clean energy related infrastructure and technology. Prior to that, James worked on Macquarie’s investment banking team in Hong Kong for 2 years where he advised on cross-border M&A transactions and IPO’s.

James graduated from Boston University Questrom School of Business, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, focused on finance and accounting.”
