Billy Betts has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Billy began their career as an Associate at Milbank LLP in October 2002 and worked there until March 2008. Following that, they joined Latham & Watkins as a Senior Associate in March 2008 and remained in that role until January 2011. Betts then transitioned to The AES Corporation, where they held two positions: Senior Counsel, Asia Development from January 2011 to June 2013 and General Counsel, Asia from June 2013 to June 2014. Most recently, they have been working at Cathay United Bank since November 2015 as the Head of the Project Finance Department.
Billy Betts completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley from 1994 to 1998. Billy then pursued higher education at The George Washington University, where they earned a Master of Arts in International Affairs between 2000 and 2002.
