Fredericka Foster

Fredericka Foster is a self-employed artist with a career spanning over five decades, beginning in June 1970. Currently, Fredericka serves as an Exhibitor at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine since February 2019, contributing two paintings to the exhibition "Sanctuary: Building a Home without Walls." Additionally, as an Instructor at the Seattle Artist League since June 2018, Fredericka teaches a course titled "Art, Activism and the Salish Sea," linked to a film project by Alan Honick. Fredericka has a long history of exhibitions, including participation in the "Christa" and "The Value of Food" exhibitions at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, as well as a consistent presence at Fischbach Gallery since March 2001, showcasing a distinctive focus on painting moving water with oil on canvas. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in painting and printmaking from the University of Washington, complemented by further training at The Factory of Visual Arts from 1972 to 1973.

Cathedral of St. John the Divine
