John Gonzalez, D.Min has a diverse work experience in various roles within the Catholic community and social advocacy organizations. John served as the Director of Parish and Community Relations at Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, where they managed projects and maintained relationships with parishes and community groups. John also worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at St. John's University and Molloy College, teaching courses related to their field. John has been actively involved in social ministry and served as the Social Ministry Director at Notre Dame Parish. John has also held positions such as the Director of Formation at Ascension and Special Projects Developer at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Rockville Centre. In addition, John has been involved in advocacy work as a Regional Organizer for Bread for the World and as a Social Responsible Investment (SRI) Consultant for Passionist, Holy Cross Province. John has also contributed to projects and coordination efforts for the Catholic Roundtable: Association of Catholic Diocesan Social Action Directors.

John Gonzalez, D.Min has a strong educational background. John obtained a Doctor of Ministry degree in Latino Studies from Fordham University from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Masters of Arts in Pastoral Studies, focusing on Moral Theology/Social Ethics, at Catholic Theological Union from 1999 to 2002. John began their educational journey at Siena College, where they obtained a BA in History and Political Science from 1991 to 1995. Additionally, they have a certification in Spiritual Direction, which was obtained from Sisters of St. Joseph Brentwood in 2020.
