Martin Golden

Marty Golden serves as the Vice President of Business Development at Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens since March 2019. Previously, Golden held the position of State Senator from January 2002 to March 2019, where significant contributions included chairing the Senate Aging Committee and advancing legislation to protect senior citizens, such as the Assisted Living Law of 2004. Golden was also a Councilman for the NYC Council from January 1998 to December 2002, notably coordinating relief efforts after 9/11 and establishing the first Community Emergency Response Team in New York State. Early career experience includes serving as a New York City Police Officer from 1973 to 1983, receiving numerous awards before retirement due to an injury sustained in the line of duty. Educational achievements include degrees from St. John's University and John Jay College (CUNY).
