Joe Garcia currently serves as the Chancellor and Executive Assistant to Bishop Rhoades at the Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend since July 2022. In this role, Joe Garcia functions as the Safe Environment coordinator and ministry specialist for victim assistance. Prior to this position, Joe Garcia taught Scripture to freshmen and an honors course on the Church's Greatest Thinkers at Bishop Dwenger High School from August 2000 to August 2022. The Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend is a Roman Catholic diocese in north central and northeastern Indiana. The Most Reverend Kevin C. Rhoades was appointed Bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend by Pope Benedict XVI on November 14, 2009 and installed on January 13, 2010. The Diocese includes 14 Indiana counties – Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Elkhart, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Marshall, Noble, Steuben, St. Joseph, Wabash, Wells, and Whitley.
