Gerard Giesekam

Gerard Giesekam is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles, currently serving as the Director of Finance and Infrastructure at Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta since July 2022. Prior to this position, Giesekam held the role of Chief Financial Officer at the NSW Department of Education from November 2017 to October 2021, overseeing financial operations for one of Australia's largest education providers. Giesekam has also served as the Head of Finance and CFO at Pillar Administration and held senior finance positions at Australian Administration Services, Link Market Services, Telstra, and AMP, establishing a robust background in financial management and reporting. Giesekam's early career began at Ernst & Young as a Senior Accountant. Giesekam holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from UNSW and is a Fellow of CPA Australia.
