Matt Pleiman

Matt Pleiman serves as the Training Chief at Florence Fire / EMS, a position held since January 2022. Concurrently, Matt has worked as a Life Insurance Agent for the Catholic Order of Foresters since 2016. Prior roles include Operations Captain at Newport Fire / EMS Department from June 2005 to August 2021, where responsibilities included serving as Department Training Officer and Platoon Commander. Matt's career began as a Firefighter/EMT at the Central Campbell County Fire District and the Airport Fire Department. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire and Safety Engineering Technology from Eastern Kentucky University and an Associate’s Degree in Emergency Medical Care from the University of Cincinnati, along with a high school diploma from Bishop Brossart High School.
