Joel Asiimwe

Joel Asiimwe is a qualified CPA with extensive experience in finance management, currently serving as the Regional Finance Manager for the East African Regional Office at Catholic Relief Services since March 2022. Asiimwe is responsible for designing internal controls, leading budget efforts for major donor proposals, mentoring finance managers, addressing accounting errors, and overseeing audit responses. Prior to this role, Asiimwe spent over six years in various finance positions at Catholic Relief Services Malawi, including Overseas Accounting Analyst and Acting Finance Manager, where responsibilities included preparing donor reports, managing cash forecasts, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting and Finance from Bangalore University, alongside professional certifications from the Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Uganda.
