Tony Castleman

Tony Castleman serves as the Director of Agriculture, Water, and Microfinance, as well as the Director of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning at Catholic Relief Services since July 2014. Responsibilities include leading technical advisory teams and overseeing projects in South Asia, particularly focusing on emergency relief, health, and agriculture. Prior to this role, Castleman held positions at the Institute for International Economic Policy as Associate Director and Associate Research Professor, and at the FANTA-2 Project as Deputy Director, managing technical assistance in nutrition and health. Earlier experiences include roles at DEVI Sansthan leading non-profit initiatives in India and a consultative stint at the World Bank. Castleman holds a Ph.D. in Economics from The George Washington University and a B.A. in Public Policy from Stanford University.
