Valarie Barksdale

Valarie Barksdale is an experienced HR professional with a diverse background in talent acquisition and support services, currently serving as an HR Specialist II for the Global People Resource/Support Services Team at Catholic Relief Services since July 2017. Valarie's responsibilities include managing the International Development Fellows Program and intern programs. Valarie has extensive experience in recruitment and coordination for multiple regions within Catholic Relief Services, holding various positions including Talent Acquisition Specialist II and acting Recruitment Manager. Valarie has also contributed significantly to the Africa Group, ensuring timely recruitment for country programs. In addition to a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Lancaster Bible College, Valarie holds multiple degrees in International Studies and International Business & Economics, along with PHR certification in Human Resources. Valarie has served as the Director of the Ministry of Dance at Pennsylvania Ave. AMEZ Church since 1996, where responsibilities include developing choreography and managing the ministry.
