- From 1997 to 1999, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Downstate Health Sciences University.
- Chhavi also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from The City University of New York, which they obtained from 1992 to 1997.
- Additionally, they completed a Fellowship in Clinical Quality at the Greater New York Hospital Association/United Hospital Association in 2013-2014.
