Earlier in their career, Orstad worked as the Senior Manager of Communications at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where they managed both external and internal marketing communications. Scott served as a spokesperson, engaged with national and trade press, and promoted clinical research and partnerships.
Orstad began their career at Stamford Health as the Manager of Corporate Communications. Scott developed and improved the organization's communication program and enhanced its reputation within the media. Scott also played a key role in driving awareness and volume for key hospital programs and services through integrated marketing and social media initiatives. Scott achieved success in generating interest for the Center for Integrative Medicine and Wellness through proactive PR campaigns.
