Timothy Carter

Timothy Carter serves as the System Director of Aortic Surgery at Catholic Health since November 2023 and has been a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at St. Francis Hospital since July 2017. Prior to these roles, Timothy honed surgical skills as a Cardiothoracic Surgery Resident at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System from July 2015 and completed a residency in General Surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center from July 2012 to June 2015, following a General Surgery Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals from July 2010 to July 2012. Timothy holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center School, earned in 2010, and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Colgate University, obtained in 2004.
