Renée Williams has a diverse work experience. Renée began their career as a Corporate Trainer/Server/Bartender at Rio Bravo Cantina in 1992 and worked there until 1997. In 1998, Renée became the General Manager at Kelsey's Restaurant, a position they held until 1999. Renée then joined Cattaraugus County as a Senior Investigator and later became the Director of Program Integrity, Fraud, & Recovery. Renée worked at Cattaraugus County from 1999 onwards. In 2011, they served as the Ward 4 Alderman for the City of Olean Common Council. Renée founded their own catering company, Williams Catering, LLC, in 2012 and has been the owner since then. Renée'smost recent role is as the Lead Bartender at Union Whiskey, where they started working in 2019.

Renée Williams attended Alfred State College - SUNY College of Technology from 1987 to 1988, where they pursued a field of study in Liberal Arts. It is unclear whether they obtained a degree during this time. Additionally, Renée Williams also attended Jamestown Community College, but the specific years of attendance, degree obtained, and field of study are unknown. However, it is known that they pursued a field of study in Liberal Arts and Photography during their time at Jamestown Community College.
