Ignacio Albornoz

Ignacio Albornoz has had a varied and extensive career. In 2004, they began as a Project Leader for the Asociación Civil Responde, where they led Rural Development Projects in several towns under 2000 inhabitants in Argentina. In 2006, they became an Economic Researcher at the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). In 2007, they moved to The Cluster Competitiveness Group SA as a Business Strategy & Economic Development Project Manager, where they worked on several regional value chain business strategy projects in various countries. In 2009, they became a Partner at Arauco Foods. In 2011, they became General Director & Partner at Opportunity Foodtech Brasil, where they handled thermal exchange, moisture extraction, aseptic storage and filling, ozone sterilization and CIP, filtration technologies, chemical separation applications, wastewater treatment and biomass recovery, and process automation & control solutions. In 2014, they moved to Fluence Corporation as a Business Developer Biogas, where they sold two projects related to biogas that won the tender under the RENOVAR Renewable Energy incentive program. In 2020, they became CEO & Cofounder of Cattler, and in May 2020 they closed a new deal with one of the major slaughterhouses in Argentina, Frigorifico Gorina.

Ignacio Albornoz has an educational background in social sciences, development economics, and entrepreneurship. Ignacio obtained their Sociologist degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 2005. In 2006, they earned an MSc. in Economics & Development from UNGS. Ignacio also attended Impactec, though no degree was obtained. In 2021, they completed the Entrepreneurship Scaling Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business as part of the Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative.
