Rui Miguel Forte

Rui Miguel Forte has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Rui Miguel is currently the Director of Engineering (NLP/ML) at Causaly. Previously, they served as the VP of Data Science & Country Lead - Greece at GlobalWebIndex from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, Rui was a Manager of Data Science at PwC from 2018 to 2019.

Rui has also worked in academia as an Instructor of MSc Business Analytics at Athens University of Economics and Business, where they designed and delivered classes, graded assignments, and contributed to the curriculum's development from 2013 to 2018.

In terms of entrepreneurship, Rui co-founded Vidpulse in 2017 and served as the CTO. Additionally, they were the Lead Data Scientist at Workable from 2013 to 2017, where they managed a team and developed various data products for the company.

Earlier in their career, Rui held positions as a Natural Language Processing Engineer at Kuato Studios in 2012-2013, a Senior Product Manager and Business Intelligence Analyst at Upstream between 2007 and 2012, and a Medical Application Specialist and Application Developer at International Online S.A. from 2005 to 2007.

Rui's work experience also includes an internship in Circuit Simulation with CAD Applications at Portugal Telecom in 2000.

Rui Miguel Forte obtained a High School Diploma from Campion High School in Athens, Greece from 1985 to 1998. Rui Miguel then pursued a MEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London, graduating in 2002. Rui also holds various certifications in subjects such as data science, machine learning, and algorithms from Coursera, which were obtained from 2012 to 2015.
