Carl Holmes has extensive work experience in the corporate finance industry. Carl began their career as a Compliance Manager at Linklaters in August 2004 and worked there until November 2005. In November 2005, they joined Charles Stanley Securities as an Assistant Director, Corporate Finance, and worked there until May 2015. Since June 2015, Carl has been working as a Director, Corporate Finance at Cavendish.

Carl Holmes obtained a Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B) degree in Law from Durham University between 1999 and 2002. Carl then went on to pursue a Master's degree in International & European Law (L.L.M (Hons)) from Durham University, which they completed in 2003. In the same year, Carl attended the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice, where they studied the Legal Practice Course with a focus on Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law. In 2008, they acquired a Diploma in Corporate Finance from ICAEW. Before their university studies, Carl attended Sigtuna Skolan Humanistiska Läroverket (SSHL) in Sweden, where they completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma program from 1996 to 1999.
