Steve Cooper

Steve Cooper is an experienced business improvement director and operations leader in the nuclear industry, currently serving at Cavendish Nuclear since January 2022, with previous roles including Head of Operations and Head of Operational Improvement. Prior to this, Steve was with Westinghouse Electric Company from 2017 to 2022, focusing on uranium recovery and manufacturing processes while implementing operational excellence across EMEA and Asia. Steve has a strong background in lean management and Six Sigma methodologies, having held senior roles in continuous improvement and operations since 2004. Earlier experience includes significant contributions to BNFL in the manufacture of nuclear fuel and transformative safety practices. Steve holds an MSc in Managing Business Performance from The University of Salford and a Professional Diploma in Manufacturing from the Manufacturing Institute.
