Tom McDonough

Tom McDonough is an experienced board member and operating executive with more than 35 years of management experience in the enterprise software and cybersecurity industry.

He currently serves on the board of directors of several cybersecurity companies as well as an advisor to venture capital and private equity firms.

Tom’s experience and leadership skills have contributed to the value creation of more than $5B in shareholder wealth through two IPO’s and four acquisitions at four different companies.

Tom has held senior management positions at a number of technology companies and most recently was Advisor, Corporate Development and Integration to Cisco’s Security Business Group where he played a key role in the acquisition of 6 cybersecurity companies valued at more than $6B. Prior to Cisco, Tom was the President and COO of Sourcefire for 11 years and responsible for much of the company’s day to day operations. Cisco acquired Sourcefire in October of 2013 for $2.7B.

He also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Mountain Wave, an early-stage cybersecurity company which was acquired by Symantec in July of 2002.

Tom holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
