James Aussem

James Aussem is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in business law and estate planning. Currently a Member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Business Practice Group at Cleveland Marshall Law Alumni since February 2009, James has also served as a Shareholder at Cavitch Familo & Durkin Co., LPA, since the same year, focusing on business, tax, succession, and estate planning. James's leadership was recognized in 2010-2011 when Cleveland Chapter was awarded Chapter of the Year under James’s presidency. Additionally, James has contributed as a Sponsor with COSE Strat Planning, presenting annually on succession planning and mentoring students. Prior experience includes a partnership at Weston Hurd and a shareholder role at Brouse McDowell, where James also chaired the Business Practice Group. James holds a JD from Cleveland State University - Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and Bachelor degrees in Finance and Education from Baldwin Wallace University.
