Marc Tadaki has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Marc began their career as a Clerk at United Video Northcote in 2005 and worked there until 2010. In 2009, they also worked as a Summer student researcher at Cawthron Institute, where they conducted research on freshwater values.
In 2010, Marc started working as a Tutor at The University of Auckland, teaching various courses related to geography and natural hazards. Marc continued this role until 2011, during which they also received a Summer student scholarship, where they analyzed rainfall and river flow patterns in the eastern South Island of New Zealand.
From 2011 to 2012, Marc worked as a Research assistant at the Association of Pacific Rim Universities, where they focused on internationalization and globalization in higher education. Marc conducted theoretical development and ethnographic fieldwork to produce an academic paper.
In 2012, Marc joined The University of Auckland again, this time as a Research assistant and a Tutor. Marc conducted a historical study of engagements with "application" in geographical climatology and tutored various geography courses, including Processes in the Natural Environment.
From 2012 to 2013, Marc worked as an Environmental consultant at Cawthron Institute, conducting research on values in freshwater governance and tracing the historical and discursive meanings of a research project. Marc also wrote research reports, policy briefs, and an academic paper.
In 2013, Marc began their long-term association with Cawthron Institute as a Research associate, working on various projects related to social science and environmental policy. Marc later became a Postdoctoral Researcher in Environmental Policy & Management and a Social Scientist in 2018, continuing their work at the institute.
Throughout their career, Marc has demonstrated strong research and analytical skills, with a focus on interdisciplinary topics related to social science, environmental policy, geography, and education.
