Alex Ladd is a lawyer currently working at Caxton Legal Centre within the Seniors Legal and Support Service since March 2023. Prior to this role, Alex worked at Queensland Advocacy for Inclusion from January 2022 to March 2023, providing legal advice in human rights and anti-discrimination, among other areas. Alex also contributed to the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability from March 2020 to March 2023, serving as a Submissions and Briefing Officer and Private Sessions Officer. Previous experience includes serving as Law Reform Director at LGBTI Legal Service Inc, where Alex focused on legal issues affecting the LGBTQI+ community, along with various roles in administration and legal support at the same organization. Alex started a private tutoring business from October 2017 to November 2020 and provided digital support for the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for the State of Queensland from November 2016 to February 2019. Alex holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia.
