Jenny Messieh is a Senior Lawyer at Caxton Legal Centre, where employment commenced in December 2022. Previously, Jenny served as a Lawyer at RAILS - Refugee and Immigration Legal Service from January 2022 to November 2022, assisting with the response to the crisis in Afghanistan. Prior roles include Research Assistant at ARDD, focusing on human rights issues in the MENA region, and Intake Volunteer at the International Refugee Assistance Project. Jenny has also worked as a Refugee Lawyer at Craddock Murray Neumann Lawyers Pty Ltd, providing legal services to asylum seekers and refugees, and as a Paralegal with the NSW Crown Solicitor's Office. Additional experience includes practical legal training at Immigration Advice and Rights Centre and internships at Graeme Morrison Law and Asylum Access Malaysia. Educational achievements include ongoing studies for a Master of Public and International Law at the University of Melbourne, a degree in Law and Arts from the University of Wollongong, and Arabic language studies at Qasid Arabic Institute.
