Natalie Urquhart

Founder & Creative Director at Cayman Art Week

Natalie Urquhart has been the Director and Chief Curator of the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands since 2007, where Natalie initially served as Education Officer and later as Curator and Deputy Director. Urquhart played a pivotal role in leading the final phase of a capital campaign for a new facility and overseeing its construction. In addition to this role, Urquhart is the Deputy Director of Cayman Art Week and the Founder and Creative Director of the Cayman National Cultural Foundation, which is dedicated to arts and cultural preservation. Previous leadership positions include President of the Museums Association of the Caribbean and Deputy Director (Programming and Curatorial) at the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands. Urquhart's education includes a Master of Arts in Arts Management from the University of London, and a Master of Arts in Art History from the University of Glasgow, alongside internships at the British Museum and the Institute of International Visual Art.
