Courtney Chulumovich

Courtney Chulumovich, Ph.D., is a scientist at Cayman Chemical, specializing in carbohydrate and glycolipid synthesis within the Natural Products and Biocatalysts Chemistry group since May 2022. Prior to this role, Courtney served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Wayne State University from August 2017 to May 2022, focusing on the synthesis and purification of photo-activated carbohydrate analogs and conducting various biological assays. In addition to research, Courtney worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for advanced synthesis and organic chemistry labs. Previous experience includes a Synthetic Chemistry Internship at Zoetis Inc. in veterinary medicine research, a Writing Center Consultant position at Albion College, and a Teachers Aide role during summers at Van Buren Intermediate School District. Courtney holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Wayne State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Albion College.
