Kate Calati

Kate Calati is an experienced professional in the field of chemistry, currently serving as the ISO QC Manager at Cayman Chemical since April 2016, where responsibility includes managing a team of analytical chemists for QC analysis of ISO grade Reference Materials and Certified Reference Materials, along with LC and GC method development and validation. Previously, Kate was a Scientist I focused on GMP Process Chemistry, manufacturing FDA approved API and developing synthetic routes for commercial manufacturing. Prior experience at Merck from January 2005 to December 2015 included roles as Scientist and Research Chemist in Analytical Chemistry, where tasks involved releasing GMP batches of large molecule API for clinical studies and ensuring compliance with SOPs. Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Michigan State University and is currently pursuing further education at Lehigh University since 2006.
