Deborah Yedlin is a seasoned business commentator with extensive experience in finance and journalism. Since October 1996, Deborah has been associated with CBC as a Business Commentator. Notable previous roles include serving as Chancellor at the University of Calgary from July 2018 to June 2022, and working as a Business Columnist for the Calgary Herald from April 2007 to June 2018. Deborah has also contributed as a Western Business Columnist for The Globe and Mail between 2002 and 2006. Early in the career, Deborah held positions as an Analyst in Corporate Finance at Goldman Sachs and as an Associate in Corporate Finance at Burns Fry Ltd. Deborah holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics and English from the University of Alberta.
