Neil Acharya is an accomplished sports writer, researcher, and producer with extensive experience in broadcasting and journalism. Currently serving as a Senior Writer, Researcher, and Producer for CBC since January 2019, Acharya develops scripts and conducts research to support CBC Sports Presents. In addition, Acharya has worked as a programmer for the Canadian Sport Film Festival since March 2025 and has a long history of freelance writing for notable publications including BNN Bloomberg and The Athletic. Past roles include Associate Producer at Rogers Communications and contributions at the NHL Network Canada, where Acharya managed editorial video packages and served as a voice broadcaster at the London 2012 Olympics. Acharya holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of King's College and a BAH from Queen's University.
