Paul MacNeill

Lead Political Analyst CBC Television

Paul MacNeill is an accomplished publisher and investigative journalist with a distinguished career spanning several decades. As the publisher of Island Press Limited since May 1995, MacNeill has received numerous awards for insightful stories and commentaries. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Journalism Collective, MacNeill oversees significant funding for Canadian news organizations. Additional board roles include membership with the Community Foundation of PEI and the Michener Awards Foundation. As the founder of both the Georgetown Conference and Georgetown Conference 2.0, MacNeill has driven initiatives aimed at revitalizing rural communities in Atlantic Canada. With a long-standing position as Lead Political Analyst for CBC, MacNeill provides expert analysis on provincial government actions across multiple platforms. Leadership experience is further marked by past presidency of the Canadian Community Newspapers Association and chairmanship of the Atlantic Journalism Awards. MacNeill holds a degree in Journalism from Holland College.
