Cecelia Armstrong

Cecelia Armstrong is a journalist currently producing Canada's leading news podcast, Front Burner, at CBC/Radio-Canada since April 2024. Prior experience includes working as a Radio/Podcast Producer at BBC from February 2022 to April 2024, where responsibilities encompassed segment production for Radio 4 Woman's Hour, collaborating with news podcasts teams, and producing the international debate program Global Questions. At CNN, from September 2017 to April 2024, Cecelia served as a Podcast Producer and Writer, scripting and editing various podcasts and producing significant feature episodes, including President Jimmy Carter's obituary. Other roles include Associate Producer for Amanpour, where longform interviews on diverse topics were produced, and experience as a freelance journalist and assistant audio producer. Cecelia holds a Master’s degree in International Journalism from City St George’s, University of London, and a Bachelor’s degree in History and Politics from the University of Exeter, complemented by a brief study at Iowa State University.
