Chris Carter serves as the Parliamentary Bureau Chief and Managing Editor at CBC/Radio-Canada since January 2011, leading a team focused on online political coverage and helping to shape digital strategy across CBC News. Previously, Chris held the role of Senior Producer for Politics at CBCNews.ca and worked as an Adjunct Professor at Carleton University in late 2014, teaching multimedia journalism. Before joining CBC, Chris was Online Editor and later Senior Editor at the Toronto Star, where responsibilities included managing breaking national news coverage and overseeing a web editorial team. Early experience includes serving as Managing Editor for toronto.com at Metroland. Chris holds an MA in Journalism from Western University and a BA in English, International Relations, and Politics from the University of Toronto - Victoria University.
