Erin Mackie has extensive work experience in various roles within the media industry. Erin started their career at Discovery Channel as a Production Manager for the Specials Unit. Erin then moved on to work at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) as a Unit Manager for The Gill Deacon Show. Erin also worked at INSPIRED Beijing as an Events and Marketing Manager before joining The Bookworm as an Operations Manager for their International Literary Festival.

Erin's career then took their to Beijing, where they worked in arts, media, and event management. After returning to Canada, Erin joined CBC as a Production Manager for CBC News, overseeing financial and personnel management for national television news programs. Erin was later promoted to the role of Managing Producer for Daily Planet at Bell Media, where they supervised the production of daily science documentary programming.

Erin then transitioned into the animation industry, working as a Producer and Supervising Producer at Guru Studio. Erin worked on the series True and the Rainbow Kingdom, which received numerous nominations and awards, including the Youth Media Alliance Award for Best Animated Preschool Program.

Currently, Erin is working at CBC/Radio-Canada as a Lead Business Analyst for CBC News Streaming Channels, as well as in Production Planning for CBC News Studios. Erin collaborates with different teams to support initiatives in local and network news, ensuring responsible budgeting and production of news content.

Erin Mackie holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management of Technology and Innovation from the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University, which was obtained from 2010 to 2013. Erin also completed a Work/Study program in Stage Management: Opera at The Banff Centre in 1997. In addition, Erin attended Humber College from 1993 to 1994 for Technical Theatre, and completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English and Drama at the University of Guelph from 1989 to 1993.
