Karla Hilton is an experienced media professional currently serving as the Executive Producer of podcast development at CBC News since October 2023. Prior to this role, Karla worked at Pacific Content as an Executive Producer from August 2021 to October 2023, where contributions included creating award-winning branded podcasts for prominent brands. Karla also held the position of Showrunner at the Canadian Medical Association from January 2018 to August 2021 and served as Director of Content Strategy. Earlier in the career, Karla worked at CBC from 2005 to 2017 as Senior Producer for Ottawa Morning and had various roles at CBC/Radio-Canada, beginning as a Producer/Reporter in the Ontario Content Unit. Educationally, Karla holds a Master of Journalism from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from The University of Winnipeg.
