Michael Gruzuk

Michael Gruzuk currently serves as the National Director and Head of CBC News Studios at CBC/Radio-Canada since November 2022. Previously, Michael held several senior positions at CBC News, including Senior Director of Content Creation from February 2021 to November 2022 and Senior Director of Network Programming from April 2017 to February 2021. Michael's career at CBC spans from January 2002 to January 2016, during which time responsibilities included Executive Producer for CBC News Specials and Senior Producer roles across various news programs. Prior to CBC, Michael was the Director of News and Digital at VICE Media from February 2016 to April 2017, and began a career in production at Alliance Atlantis from November 1999 to August 2000. Michael holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism, obtained in 1999.
