Neeraja Murali Dharan

Neeraja Murali Dharan is a Senior Developer at CBC/Radio-Canada since May 2021, previously serving as a Software Developer at the Intelligent Assistive Technology and Systems Lab and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto. Neeraja has experience in managing software partnership projects, mentoring student teams, and enhancing closed captioning for accessibility. With a Master of Science in Assistive/Augmentative Technology and Rehabilitation Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with Honours Specialization in Bioinformatics from Western University, Neeraja has also contributed as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and as a Software Developer Intern at IBM, focusing on cloud services and voice technology. Additional research experience includes a role as a Student Research Assistant at IMTEK, University of Freiburg, where Neeraja worked on optical sensor technologies.
