Rachel Desjourdy

Rachel Desjourdy serves as the Senior Advisor for International Relations at CBC/Radio-Canada, with responsibilities that include monitoring public service media activities globally, providing strategic advice, and enhancing the development of internal policy. Notably, Rachel played a pivotal role in organizing the Public Broadcasters International Conference 2024. Previously, Rachel held the position of Corporate Accessibility Lead at CBC/Radio-Canada, where pioneering efforts included the creation of the organization's first National Accessibility Plan. Rachel's career also includes significant roles at McGill University, including Accessibility Advisor in the Office of the Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic) and Exam Center Manager, where contributions included developing accommodation practices and managing accessibility initiatives. Rachel holds a Master’s Degree in Critical Disability Studies from York University, a Non-Profit Management Certificate from Simon Fraser University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Cell Biology and Anatomy from McGill University.
