John Yates

John Yates has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. John most recently worked as a Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Developer at cBEYONData, where they provided consulting services for the Veterans Administration's financial systems conversion program. John developed Power BI tools, researched Power BI functionality, and presented a Power BI demo to the team. Prior to that, they worked as a Business Intelligence and Data Analyst for a global non-profit organization, where they supported the analytics team during a Power BI roll-out. John also took a personal sabbatical during 2019. Before that, they worked as a Business Data Analyst at VisionWeb and as an Operational Reporting Manager/Metrics and Reporting Analyst at Dell Inc. John also worked as a Chief Data Validation Analyst at the University of Texas at Austin and as a Vendor Relations Manager contractor at Xetel. John started their career at Dell Financial Services as a Functional Analyst and later transitioned to the role of Financial Consultant/Manager II, where they managed an analyst team and was involved in Oracle implementation and planning/analysis/reporting roles. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, and data visualization.

John Yates has an MBA with a focus on Finance/Accounting from the Texas McCombs School of Business. John also holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University. In addition, they have obtained the certification of Engineer In Training from NC EIT.
