Gene Bursley

Gene Bursley has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Gene currently works as a Threat Hunter at CBI, A Converge Company, starting in September 2022. Previously, they served as a Sr Security Engineer at CyberClan from November 2020 to July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Trustwave, where they held multiple roles including Cyber Threat Engineer from August 2018 to November 2020, and Incident Response Analyst - Spider Labs from January 2016 to November 2020. Before their career in cybersecurity, Gene worked as a Lab Assistant at Davenport University from 2012 to January 2016.

Gene Bursley has a Bachelor's Degree from Davenport University, which was obtained between 2010 and 2014. The degree is in Network Technology, with a focus on Cisco and Security. In 2019, Gene obtained a certification as a Cybereason Threat Hunter from Cybereason. Recently, from 2020 to 2022, Gene pursued a Master's degree in Information Assurance at Davenport University.
