Prayag Biswal

Prayag Biswal is a seasoned professional in the field of chemical engineering and business development, currently serving as the Global Business Development Manager for Batteries at CBMM, where responsibilities include formulating global go-to-market strategies for niobium-enabled lithium batteries. Presently, Prayag also advises EELI Technology on electrochemical mineral extraction technology and contributes as a Subject Matter Expert for XPRIZE, focusing on emerging technologies. As a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Electrochemical Science and Engineering, Prayag oversees the publication of articles related to battery technologies. Prior experience includes roles at SLB as a Domain Champion for Critical Minerals and at Albemarle Corporation, leading significant lithium-related initiatives. Prayag holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, where involvement included teaching assistant roles and founding the Cornell Energy Systems Club, promoting energy sustainability.
