Jordan Newmark has a strong background in intellectual property law and has held several leadership roles throughout their career. From 1999 to 2001, they worked as a Patent Attorney at Wallenstein Wagner & Rockey. They then moved on to Ruden McClosky, where they worked as a Patent Attorney from 2001 to 2004. In 2004, they joined Seyfarth Shaw as a Patent Attorney. From 2005 to 2010, they served as an Intellectual Property Counsel at CBOE. Following that, they worked at USAA as Chief Intellectual Property Counsel from 2010 to 2017, overseeing the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights. Jordan Newmark then joined MIAX Exchange Group as Litigation & IP Counsel from 2017 to 2019. They currently hold the position of Vice President, Associate General Counsel at Cboe Global Markets, where they started in January 2023.
Jordan Newmark attended The University of Kansas from 1990 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences. From 1995 to 1997, they pursued a Master's degree in Entomology at the same university. Finally, Jordan completed their education at The University of Kansas from 1997 to 1999, earning a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree in Law. In addition to their degrees, Jordan also holds a Patent Bar Registration from the USPTO.
