Karen Christiansen

Senior Director, NA Derivatives Compliance at Cboe

Karen Christiansen has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Karen started their career at the Chicago Board of Trade in 1994, where they served as the Manager of the Electronic Trading Systems Control Center until 1997. Karen then took on the role of Director of Electronic Trading Systems at the same organization until 2000. In that year, they transitioned to Cboe Global Markets, where they held various positions over the years. Karen served as Director of Requirements Management, then as Director of Regulatory Services from 2005 to 2008. From 2008 to 2012, they were the Department Head at Cboe Global Markets. Karen then became the CFE Chief Regulatory Officer and, concurrently, the Vice President of Regulatory Services until 2015. From 2015 to 2018, Karen served as the Vice President of Regulatory Analysis and Operations. Subsequently, they held the position of Director of Compliance at Cboe Global Markets until 2022. Currently, Karen Christiansen holds the position of Senior Director of NA Derivatives Compliance at Cboe Global Markets.

Karen Christiansen received a Bachelor's Degree in Retail Management from Purdue University from 1977 to 1980. In 2012, they attended the Securities Industry Institute, but no degree or field of study is specified.
