David McWhirter

Manager - Technical Operations at CBTS

David McWhirter, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. David'smost recent role is with Coda Studios Photography, LLC, where they serve as Co-Owner and Photographer since October 2018. Prior to this, they worked at CBTS as a Technical Operations Manager, leading a team in a Cisco Unified Communications migration and managed services project for the State of Indiana. During their time at CBTS, they successfully led the adoption and migration efforts of 11,000 users and oversaw major platform upgrade projects.

Before CBTS, McWhirter worked at Capgemini as an Operational Delivery Manager and Major Incident Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations and customer escalations for the Rolls-Royce N.A. Service Integration team. David also gained experience at BCforward as a Service Delivery Lead, where they managed client relations and resource relations for multiple engagements with Eli Lilly.

Earlier in their career, McWhirter worked as an Asset Management Analyst II at Populus Group, leading a cost-saving initiative for Anthem and introducing automation to increase licensing reclaim efforts. David also served as a Help Desk Advisor at Anthem, managing a team of service desk analysts and implementing process improvement initiatives.

Additionally, McWhirter worked as a Senior Technician at Digitech, supporting IT needs for small and medium-sized businesses, and as an In-Store Technical Service Supervisor at Best Buy. David began their career as a Consultant at Xerox Connect / XLConnect, providing LAN administration and desktop support for Anthem and Prudential Insurance. McWhirter's early experience also includes working as a Microsystems Specialist at Golden Rule Insurance.

Throughout their career, McWhirter has demonstrated strong leadership and project management skills, as well as expertise in technical operations and customer relations. David holds an MBA degree.

David McWhirter pursued their education in Information Technology Management. David obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Western Governors University between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, David McWhirter has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. David achieved the "Engagement Manager - Foundation Level" certification from Capgemini in February 2015. Furthermore, they earned the "ITIL v3 (2011) Foundations" certification from The Cabinet Office in December 2013. Earlier in their career, they obtained the "Support Center Team Lead" certification from HDI in August 2007. David also holds certifications including A+ from CompTIA and Microsoft Certified Professional, both obtained in 1998. More recently, in September 2020, they obtained the "Remote Pilot - Small Unmanned Aircraft System" certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
